We follow an individual K4 or K5 curriculum based on the child's age and readiness, with emphasis on building thinking skills using a variety of manipulatives. New education policies and mandated assessments have created an increased demand for early and effective reading instruction methods. We use practical proven research based materials, which include the essential components.

SOUNDS SENSIBLE: is a multi-sensory phonological awareness program using interactive games, letter picture cards and handwriting masters. It offers structured, sequential, hands on instruction making it an effective core program in beginning reading classes even for the very young.
TOUCH PHONICS: is a manipulative-visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile-VAKT- system with mini lessons in sound-letter relationships. The central unique feature of this program is Touch-units, comprising over 200 three dimensional, color-coded letter units representing all the English graphemes. So the child sees, touches and feels the letters to sound them out.
EXPLODE THE CODE: uses humor to make language fun. Teaches skills for listening, decoding, reading, writing, and comprehension
