What do I need for a yoga session?
- Comfortable, loose- fitting, and natural fiber clothing
- Sweat shirt and socks (for yogic sleep)
Props:
- Small cushion (rolled-up bath towels work too!)-helps you adapt to certain poses
Space:
- We have a nice, quiet space with dimmer lights- perfect for yoga.
- Soothing and relaxing music adds a nice touch as well!
AVOID!
- Food (try not to eat 2 hours before practicing)
- To maximize digestive benefits, wait at least an hour after your session before eating again
- A small drink of luke warm water is quite beneficial
Things to Think About…
- Breathing-always breathe through your nose, slowly and deeply.
- Keep your belly relaxed so you can expand it as you inhale and as you exhale.
- Instruction-A teacher can help solve problems, answer questions, and correct your posture for maximum results.
